This week the 7th graders studied the history and culture of the ancient Byzantine Empire. They learned that mosaic art was popular during this time. They had some time on block day to get creative with paper and make their own designs. They had a lot of fun doing temporary designs on their desktops or "permanent" art glued onto paper plates.
Edgewood FACS students in Successful Living classes made snickerdoodle cookies. The assignment was to use math skills to cut the recipe in half. The goal was to do the math correctly and eat good cookies. Incorrect math meant eating mistakes! The room smelled delicious!
