There are many opportunities for our students to enjoy reading and earn awards this summer.
1.  The Warsaw Community Public Library summer reading event begins June 8.  Visit the library or log in online to participate.  Anna Jackson, teen librarian, came to our most recent Starbooks event to share about the program and the craft events.  Kids were really excited about the prizes they could earn!  Warsaw Community Public Library
2.  The Half Price Bookstore offers $5 coupons, redeemable in their store, for summer reading participants in June, and again in July.  Check their website for more information!  Half Price Bookstore
3.  The Indiana Department of Education offers the Hoosier Family of Readers which includes access to e-books via myON books.  Instructions are included on their website.  Hoosier Family of Readers

Have a safe, happy, enjoyable summer break, and keep reading!
See you in August.

Several students at Edgewood enjoyed learning how to crochet, using yarn and size H crochet hooks donated by the Craft Yarn Council of America.  They are looking forward to building on their skills next year.  Mrs. Eberhardt and the Knit/Crochet club would love donations of yarn, crochet hooks and knitting needles to be used next school year.  If you find any of these supplies during summer cleaning, please consider donating to our eager group of crafters.  Thanks so much!
