Several students at Edgewood enjoyed learning how to crochet, using yarn and size H crochet hooks donated by the Craft Yarn Council of America.  They are looking forward to building on their skills next year.  Mrs. Eberhardt and the Knit/Crochet club would love donations of yarn, crochet hooks and knitting needles to be used next school year.  If you find any of these supplies during summer cleaning, please consider donating to our eager group of crafters.  Thanks so much!

Students in Dr. White's social studies classes read about and discussed international organizations today.  They learned about several different organizations and the many reasons they exist.  There may be many problems in our world, but our students know there are organizations in place to help solve these problems.  Maybe some of our students will be involved in world soluotions some day!

Thank you to Mr. Heinz Fussle and his sister Hildegard for coming to Edgewood!  They spent the day presenting to Mrs. Fisher and Dr. White's 7th grade social studies classes.  As children, the Fussles lived in Germany when Adolph Hitler came into power.  They shared memories of stories and pictures of life at that time, leaving students with the message that we all need to step in and fight for what is right.

Logan and Drake share their information about concussions with Mrs. Bonifield, one of our district STEM coaches.  Health students have completed research on health topics of their own interest, and are now sharing with friends, family, and representatives from our central office.
