Warsaw FCCLA and the Warsaw Area Career Center are collecting gently used children's books. These treasures will then be donated to students at Leesburg Elementary School. Edgewood, Lakeview, and the High School all have collection boxes. If you have books to donate, please bring them to our Edgewood office or have your student drop them off in the big yellow box in our library. Thanks so much for sharing and encouraging our students to grow and read!
Edgewood’s annual food drive was a huge success! We can not thank you enough for your generosity and helping your student(s) provide food items for those in need in our community. The food drive provides opportunities for students to learn about the issue of hunger, acquire empathy for those who struggle with food insecurity, and think about how they can continue to make a difference. Thank you for your support!
On Wednesday Nov.8 members of NJHS went to Nappanee Missionary Church to participate in a Feed My Starving Children mobilepack. Our shift packed over 85,000 meals and fed over 200 children for a year. Club sponsor Mrs. Fisher learned that some of the meals packed just this past week went to Puerto Rico to help people dealing with the recovery efforts from the hurricane. Our work has made a direct impact on the lives of others as we lived out our mission statement.
Please join Mrs. Johnson in congratulating the following art students. They are Edgewood's finalists in the Wagon Wheel Banner Contest. The overall winner will be announced Nov. 9 at a special reception at the Wagon Wheel: Daniel L., Megan M. and Claire W.
