Students in Dr. White's social studies classes read about and discussed international organizations today.  They learned about several different organizations and the many reasons they exist.  There may be many problems in our world, but our students know there are organizations in place to help solve these problems.  Maybe some of our students will be involved in world soluotions some day!

Logan and Drake share their information about concussions with Mrs. Bonifield, one of our district STEM coaches.  Health students have completed research on health topics of their own interest, and are now sharing with friends, family, and representatives from our central office.

Students in Mr. Devlin and Mr. Howard's 8th grade history classes continue to present their research on Leaders and Legacies.  They researched using databases and primary source documents, wrote papers, made displays, and gave speeches.  Thanks to all who have come to listen as these students shared their work.

Students enjoyed open library time after school this week.  Activities included a game of Magic cards, math homework help, and time to work on posters, research and speeches for history class.  The library is open until 3:30 most days after school.

Students in Mrs. Hutchinson's class read an article about The Soul Surfer, Bethany Hamilton.  After reading, they selected important information from the article and wrote five paragraph essays about this inspirational role model.
