The Edgewood Library hosted Starbooks on April 14.  Kosciusko Literacy Services director Cindy Cates brought Dr. Eliot Engle to our meeting.  He had our staff and students enthralled as he told us about the twisted, crazy life of Edgar Poe, who married his adopted sister/cousin when she was 13 and he was 23!  What?  Each student received a graphic novel about Poe courtesy of Kosciusko Literacy Services.  #goPoe!

Our next Starbooks will be on Thursday, May 5.  Mrs. Anna Jackson from Warsaw Community Public Library will present information about summer reading opportunities.  Get in the Game:  Read!

The March Starbooks celebrated STEM in a big way!  Students got to make their own ice cream, watch a 3D printer, make a stress ball, check out books on science experiments, look through a telescope, handle and learn about meteorites, and eat pie.  Officer Hawn closed out the event with two experiments on water absorption and its effects.
