EDGEWOOD DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

LUNCH: Today’s menu choices are Big Daddy”s 4-Meat Pizza, Fish Sandwich, or Deli Bacon Wrap, Caesar Salad, Steamed Corn, Chocolate Brownie Cookie, Choice of Fruit, and Milk.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

We are having an attendance competition for students and staff next week!  Plan to be here everyday!! The winning grade gets ice cream with toppings at the end of the day on Friday, May 24th during the party.

Incoming 9th grader girls interested in playing WCHS Soccer are welcome to come to an informational meeting with their parents next Thursday, May 23rd at 5:00p in the bleachers of the varsity soccer field.  

Tickets will be drawn for the raffle drawing today. Be sure to place your tickets in your favorite jars before second period to have a chance for a prize. Edgewood Cares thanks all those that participated donating prizes and purchasing tickets to help local Warsaw charities.  

Don’t forget to bring your Overdue Books  to the library as soon as possible.

The end of year awards programs will be hosted in the gym on Friday, May 24.  The 7th grade awards program will be from 7:45 a.m. - 9:25 a.m. The 8th grade program will run from 9:35 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. Unfortunately, not every student will receive an award, but we do our best to recognize as many students as possible.  Parents and family members are welcome to join us at the awards program.

MESSAGES Phone calls and messages to students should be limited to emergencies only and any message or transportation issues received after 2:20p to the office may not be communicated with the student due to time constraints.

ID CARDS Each student must wear a clearly visible student photo identification card on a break-away lanyard each day at Edgewood Middle School. Replacements will cost $4.00 for an ID and $1.00 for a lanyard. Unpaid ID’s will result in school consequences.

APPOINTMENTS Please send a note to school with your student if you are picking your student up early. The student is to bring the note to the office before school begins for a pass to come to the office before your arrival time. After the appointment, please bring in the slip from a medical appointment for your student’s files.

All 7th-grade WCS students that are enrolled through the end of the 2018-2019 school year will be eligible to purchase their iPad mini2s for $1.00. Purchases will be paid for by the student on Tuesday May 21st. Early sales will not be permitted.

All invoices for device repairs or missing items MUST be paid in full prior to the building purchase date. Late sales will not be permitted.

Each 8th grade student will receive a full sized device from WCS at the start of the year, and will receive a new iPad at the start of their 9th grade year.

LUNCH: Today’s menu choices are Hamburger, Breaded Chicken Sandwich, or Italian Sub Sandwich, Baked Beans, Twister Fries, Choice of Fruit, and Milk.

We are having an attendance competition for students and staff.  It will be 7th grade vs 8th grade for which grade has the best attendance next week!  Winning class gets ice cream with toppings!! Ice cream will be served during the party at the end of the day Friday, May 24th.

Mrs. Richcreek's Automation & Robotics 6th period class are to wear closed toed shoes & long pants today for the field trip.

Student Ambassadors will have training today after school until 3:45p for those that didn’t attend the first session. These sessions are mandatory to be able to lead student tours for 6th graders during the last week of school.

Game Club will meet today after school utnil 4:00p.

Today we will follow our Thursday Even Block schedule allowing time for NWEA testing.

Student Ambassadors: this message is for those of you who were unable to attend last month’s training. On Thursday, May 16th we will have a make-up session after school until 3:45p. These sessions are mandatory to be able to lead student tours for 6th graders during the last week of school.

All NJHS members, including the new 7th graders who have been invited, are reminded that our induction ceremony is tonight at 6:30p here at Edgewood.  You should arrive no later than 6:15p and be dressed very nicely for this special ceremony. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Fisher.

This is the last day for students to buy Edgewood Cares raffle tickets for $1 each. Your teachers and staff have donated either items or experiences for you to enter to win. Buy as many as you want and place them in the jars on the stage of your choice during lunch. The more tickets you enter, the better chance you have of winning.

EDGEWOOD DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

LUNCH: Today’s menu choices are Boneless Chicken Wings with Roll, Rib-B-Que Pork Sandwich, or PB & Jamwich with String Cheese & Pretzels, Sweet Potato, Wango Mango Juice, Choice of Fruit, and Milk.

There will be a Cross Country Callout for 8th grade girls in Mr. Fleming's room Tuesday, May 14th at 7:05a.  If unable to make this meeting, please see Mr. Fleming during passing periods.

Today is the last day to turn in dodgeball teams...see a PE teacher with questions.  If you'd like to come to watch the tournament tomorrow, the cost is $1 per person. We'll also have some concessions available.  Again all proceeds go to the Kailey Lynn Zehr Memorial Scholarship Fund, JOIN US TOMORROW AFTER SCHOOL.

Edgewood Cares will be hosting its final fundraiser of this school year. The fundraiser, back by popular demand, is the teacher and staff raffle. Your teachers and staff have donated either items or experiences for you to enter to win. On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday only you can buy as many tickets as you want for $1 each and put them in the jars on the stage of your choice during lunch. The more tickets you enter, the better chance you have of winning.  Some of the things up for raffle are lunch and entertainment for you and friends provided by a teacher, gift cards, baked goods, gift baskets, a guest DJ spot, teacher makeovers, and more. This is a great opportunity to give back to local Warsaw charities so be sure to bring your money starting today!

The cafeteria will be stopping all charges as of today. All negative accounts need to be paid back as soon as possible. Be sure to have money in your account for each day’s food costs.

FCS will meet tomorrow morning at 7:00a in Mr. Brumbaugh’s room.

Come watch the Middle Schools Band Concert on tonight May 13th. The concert will be held in the Lakeview Middle School auditorium starting at 7:00p. Performing will be the 6th grade band, and the beginning, intermediate, and advanced bands.  Admission is free.

Congratulations to the Boys’ and Girls’ Track teams on the first place finishes at the conference championships on Saturday.
