ANNOUNCEMENTS

Manufacturing Club will be on Wednesday, December 4th & Wednesday, December 11th from after school until 4p.  Anyone is welcome.  

Saturday’s Boys Basketball competition will be held at Northwood starting at 9:00a.

Mr. Devlin and Mr. Ringler are going to stay after school today until 4:00p for any 8th-grade student that would like extra help or work time on National History Day. 

Make sure you turn in your Gift Card order form and all money to your SRT teacher today. TODAY is the ONLY day we can accept it. Another way to help is to share the token at the bottom of your order form with friends, family, and neighbors and ask them to show that on Sunday at Hacienda when they dine-in or place a take out order. The Edgewood Food Drive will be given 30% from those orders too.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday November 21st from 3:30-6:30p.  

All parents and students are invited to attend.

This week is American Education Week! We will be celebrating all the people who work at Edgewood Middle School.  On Friday, students will have a chance to write a quick note thanking one or more of our Edgewood staff.  These note cards will be available at lunch time. We encourage all students to take a moment to thank someone.

You only have a few days to sell Hacienda gift cards. Remember that the winning SRT teams win a lunch out at Hacienda.

ID CARDS Each student must wear a clearly visible student photo identification card on a break-away lanyard each day at Edgewood Middle School. Replacements will cost $4.00 for an ID and $1.00 for a lanyard. Unpaid ID’s will result in school consequences. All middle and high school students will be issued ID badges. Students are not to deface the card.  Unusable cards need to be replaced at the student's expense immediately. The identification badge is to be attached to a lanyard and worn around the student’s neck at all times. ID badges will also be used in the library for checking out materials. Students who lose or deface their ID badges will be subject to school discipline such as eating lunch last since cafeteria staff will have to enter names manually. WCS Parent-Student Handbook pg 37.

Congratulations to the Edgewood Spell Bowl team for their first appearance EVER at the state finals this past weekend at Purdue University. Edgewood was among the top 30 schools in Indiana to compete and scored 49 correctly spelled words! Special recognition goes to Ishita Pandey and Var Bobba for scoring nearly-perfect rounds and Keerthika Sathish and Milind Kumar for scoring PERFECT rounds. We are very proud of you!

Today is half way through the second grading period.  Be sure all homework and projects are handed in before leaving today to be included in your Midterm grade. Progress reports will be distributed on Monday.  

The deadline for all Elearning assignments is today.  Assistance will be available after school in the library until 4:45p. Contact the office if you are interested and need bus transportation home.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Mr. Fleming and Mr. Linn will offer "Cell Help" after school today until 3:30.  Great opportunity for everyone struggling to complete projects, make quiz corrections, and turn in missing work. 

ELearning Assistance will be held in the library after school today and on Friday until 4:45p.  Contact the office if you are interested and need bus transportation home. 

Game Club will meet today in the library after school until 4:00p with Mr. Wise.

This morning is Picture Retake Day. All students who were absent on the previous Picture Day will be called to the library to get their picture taken after announcements. Students who would like their picture retaken need to bring their entire original packet back to the photographer.

IPAD POLICY Student iPads are the property of WCS. Inappropriate use of a school device can result in the loss of device privileges. Students must also have their iPad at school and fully charged at the start of every day. Failure to come to school prepared may result in consequences. Gaming resulting in a disruption of learning will be an automatic removal of ALL non-school issued gaming apps.

MESSAGES Phone calls and messages to students should be limited to emergencies only and any message or transportation issues received after 2:00p to the office may not be communicated with the student due to time constraints.
