Students in Miss Rohrer's Everyday Living classes enjoyed making, then eating breakfast mini muffins. This recipe was created by our principal, Mrs. Smyth. It was a huge success, as there were no leftovers! Have your student whip up a batch for you at home!

Students in 8th grade history are studying medieval Europe, preparing to learn about the exploration of the Americas. One aspect of study was battles. Students worked in teams of two to build trebuchets, then enjoyed launching light weight materials at enemy armies composed of plastic soldiers and other assorted characters. My LIttle Pony made a guest appearance as a soldier, as did Flounder, Squidward, and assorted Shopkins, Lego characters, and rather large farm animals. Apparently, no smallish toy was safe from the 8th grade draft!

Edgewood's school picture day will be Friday, September 15th. Forms will be handed out this week and need to be brought to school on Friday and given to the photographer. Even easier, you can order online! No mistakes, no forgetting forms. Parents who ordered online last year loved this option!

Attention 8th grade members of National Junior Honor Society - there will be an opportunity to earn about one hour of credit next Wednesday, Sept 13 by going with Mrs. Fisher to the Community Apple Orchard to pick apples after school.  This has been a lot of fun the last few years.  We will go regardless of the weather (except for storms).  See Mrs. Fisher if you are interested.
