8th grade honors begins their argumentative research unit with a bit of fun, speed debating! They had 5 different topics and 4 minutes with each to try and list as many arguments as possible to support their assigned claim on the topic. There was lots of shouting and hand waving in their attempts to prove they were right!
On Wednesday Nov.8 members of NJHS went to Nappanee Missionary Church to participate in a Feed My Starving Children mobilepack. Our shift packed over 85,000 meals and fed over 200 children for a year. Club sponsor Mrs. Fisher learned that some of the meals packed just this past week went to Puerto Rico to help people dealing with the recovery efforts from the hurricane. Our work has made a direct impact on the lives of others as we lived out our mission statement.
