The 7th grade social studies classes have begun our Historical Twin research project.  We started off by doing character studies of ourselves, thinking about goals, dreams, skills, and talents.  Next we took the Smalley Animal Personality Test to find out if we are more of a beaver, lion, otter, or golden retriever.  Ask the students what these animals represent.  Today we read about 30 mystery people from the 20th and 21st century and matched our characteristics to them.  The pictures on the website show the students' reactions when we posted the list and they discovered their match.  Many were quite surprised and excited to find out who they will be researching.  Our next steps are doing "twin" pictures and researching more about our "twins."
