Mr Ringler is still planning the Washington D.C. trip for this fall.  All current 7th graders and incoming 6th graders are eligible to attend.  The trip also includes a tour of Gettysburg.  The tour bus will leave Edgewood on Wednesday, October 21 at 8:00 p.m. and return to Edgewood's parking lot at approximately 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 25.  Students who have gone on these trips in the last two years come back having seen several monuments and museums and have a greater understanding of U.S. history, as well as having had fun with friends.
If you are interested in learning more, contact Mr. Dylan Ringler, 8th grade history teacher, at dringler@warsawschools.org

Our annual Food Drive ended Monday, December 16.  Our Edgewood Elves are busy distributing food boxes to many Edgewood families, as well as to families in other Warsaw schools, Our Father's House, and Combined Community Services.
Many, many thanks go out to our students, staff, and families who helped us out by helping at Owens, selling Hacienda gift cards, eating at Hacienda on our special night, by sending in foods and paper products, by sorting, transporting, moving all donations around in the school.  We were able to collect 18,796 items, an amazing amount!  This is definitely a community project, and we thank everyone who is part of our Edgewood community!
Wishing everyone a safe and joyful holiday season!

Edgewood's Annual Food Drive is going on right now through Monday, December 16.  As always, we are planning to create boxes of food for families to last during the two weeks of winter break, as well as provide food for Boomerang Backpacks and for Our Father's House and Combined Community Services.
You can find teachers and students at Owen's Grocery Store collecting donations, or you can send donations in with your student.  All help is appreciated as Edgewood works to enrich the lives of others.
