Students in 8th grade history classes made their own trebuchets as part of an instructional unit on pre-American history. They learned some math skills and got very creative with minimal supplies as they figured out how to launch projectiles. It was war in the library as Mr. Devlin's class fought Mr. Ringler's class. Green and brown army guys, along with some other creative armies which included ShopKins dolls, superheroes, farm animals, and an assortment of pumpkins, all landed on the floor admits shouts of laughter. Seventh grade social studies students are working on a project to create and plan their own country from scratch. This includes defining their own climate and ecosystem type, government system, and economic system.
