Ancient Artifacts
Recently students in Mrs. Fisher's and Mr. Halferty's social studies classes completed an "Artifact" project from Africa, China, or Japan.  The purpose of the project was to choose an "artifact" from the middle ages of one of these culture groups, research more about it, try to recreate a model of it, and write about its significance.  Various projects included musical instruments, masks, pagodas, "junk" ships, miniature Great Walls, Mongolian or Samurai weapons/armor, catapults, and others.
