Parents of 8th graders:

On Thursday, January 16th, Warsaw Community High School and the Warsaw Area Career Center are hosting the annual WCHS/WACC Academic Showcase from 5:00-7:00 p.m. This event is primarily meant for current WCHS students and their parents, as well as all incoming freshmen for next year in the class of 2024.

This is a great chance to come tour the building and see all the wonderful opportunities that are available to students at WCHS and in the WACC. All 14 departments throughout the school will be showcasing their talented teachers and previewing their available classes and curriculums. There will be fun and interactive activities, as well as informational flyers that will help students and families decide what courses they should take at WCHS/WACC.

To the parents of incoming freshmen (current eighth graders), there will be an informative meeting in the Performing Arts Center at 7:00pm following the showcase. This meeting is an introduction to life at the high school and will help make the transition from middle school  to high school smooth for all. All parents of current 8th graders (Class of 2024) are encouraged to attend both the showcase and the class meeting.

Parents and students can enter the building through door 1 (main entrance) and doors 47-50 (Performing Arts Center entrance). Doors will be open starting at 5:00pm.

Fall Break was a busy time for several Edgewood students as they toured Gettysburg and Washington D.C. on the annual fall break trip to Washington D.C. Four students were chosen to participate in the wreath ceremony at the Tomb of the Unkown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetary. If you are a current 7th grader or 7th-grade parent and would like more information on the Gettysburg and Washington D.C. trip scheduled for Fall Break 2020, email Mr. Ringler for details at dringler@warsawschools.org.  What a great idea for a Christmas gift, or a great time to save money in order to participate in this once in a lifetime trip!
