Students in 7th grade social studies have been studying Ancient Egypt. One of their projects was to research, then write their own Book of the Dead, the directions for moving from death, through the underworld into the afterlife. Researching this topic helped us all learn more about ancient Egyptian culture, and we enjoyed a chance to do group projects!
As part of Edgewood's fundraiser for Feed My Starving Children, students had the opportunity to tape a teacher to the wall. First lunch shift taped Mr. Devlin, and second lunch shift taped Mr. Brumbaugh. Students laughed as they took pictures and claimed this was the most fun they had all school year. So far. We know that in addition to academics, more fun is on the way!
