For the past several weeks the 7th grade social studies classes have been researching for their National History Day projects.  They have been learning about thesis statements, citations, annotations, researching and reading for on-topic information, in-text citations, and how to find and cite legal picture sources from Google.  The theme for National History Day this year is "Tragedy and Triumph" so the topics chosen had to match BOTH of these themes.  Presentations on a wide variety of topics were on Tuesday, Dec. 4.

Edgewood students and staff are busy with our annual canned food drive!  Expect your students to be coming home asking you to go to the store tonight to pick up needed supplies to help their class accumulate points and to help our community!  Extra points are awarded daily for items such as canned fruit and laundry detergent.  Students and staff are also asking for help at our local Owens stores.  We will be at both stores most evenings from 4-7 and Saturdays from 10-5 through December 15.  Please help us as we work to enrich the lives of others!

Mr. Netzley and some of our student ambassadors took a selfie, proving that Edgewood and our students, well, they Rock!  These are the students who help new students learn their way around, assist teachers, smile in the hallways, go out of their way to make others feel welcome.  We are so proud of our Edgewood students!
